Starting out in estate agency in 1985 as a branch manager, and looking back at the technological strides made from that time up to the present,
it is like a different world now! I can chuckle now at cameras with polaroid films you needed to blow on and then wait a minute before peeling back to reveal a grainy black and white photo. Nowadays we create superb quality wide angle HDR photographs, amazing quality property videos combined with the latest editing and production, and even more impressively, fully interactive 360 degree video tours of properties conducted on screen, whereby we are carrying out a virtual tour of the property whilst having a conversation similar to a Zoom call on screen with the potential buyer, and all the time keeping all parties safe in the current Covid related climate.

I am immensely proud of Rawlinson Gold’s ethos and values, which sets us apart from many other estate agents, whereby the client’s experience of how we have successfully reached their goal of either buying or selling their home with us has been a positive one built on transparency, excellent and accurate advice, and the satisfaction of a positive relationship at what can be perceived as a time of immense stress. The reward of my role is that I am involved from start to finish in my clients journey. From arranging and attending the initial valuation, guiding them through to the day of moving on to their next adventure. Relationships are formed, that in many cases are more than just the usual estate agent/client contact. The idea of your estate agent treating your journey as just a business transaction defeats the whole point of why we are here.

I have lived locally for many decades, and understand fully the uniqueness of Pinner, it’s charm and sense of community that makes it such a beacon for property buyers wanting their future families to grow up amongst the best schools, parks, historic High Street with it’s ancient churches, boutique shops and the Metropolitan Line station taking you into London on your commute or to experience the delights of what Central London offers on your doorstep.

Finally, as a family man with many children and grandchildren, I have learnt what is important in life, and that is by creating good for others, and doing the right thing, it brings its own rewards. That is worth more than money.
By co-incidence, as I am writing this, we have just completed on a sale today, and the buyer has just called me, super excited and grateful at picking up the key to their new home in the next hour. The sale took just two months from start to finish. Everything went incredibly smoothly, and both vendor and purchaser are extremely happy. That is why I come into work, and I would love the opportunity of doing the same for you!
